Skill Requirement Analysis & Employment Mapping from MoU-led Investments in Gujarat
The Skill Requirement Analysis and Employment Mapping Project aims to understand the emerging employment opportunities and skill requirements arising from MoU-led investments in Gujarat, particularly investments associated with the Vibrant Gujarat initiative.
The project seeks to map the expected demand for skilled manpower across different sectors and regions of Gujarat and assess how well the existing higher education institutions, technical education institutes and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) are aligned with these emerging requirements.
The findings will help identify skill gaps, emerging occupations and areas for capacity building, supporting better alignment between education, skills and employment opportunities in Gujarat.
The objective is simple: to understand what skills industries will need, and help ensure that Gujarat's education and skill ecosystem is prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.

GRIT
Gujarat Rajya Institution for Transformation
The Gujarat government's state think tank — a knowledge and innovation hub for the strategic planning behind the state's socioeconomic development. It guides and funds this study.
MSME Gujarat
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Gujarat
The MSME arm supporting micro, small and medium enterprise development across Gujarat — the segment that accounts for much of the state's industrial employment.
IITRAM
Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management
An autonomous state university in Ahmedabad, established in 2013, working on infrastructure technology, research and management.
